Just walking around and taking in the colors and sounds, not to mention the gorgeous views of the bay, Alcatraz, the Golden Gate Bridge, and of course sea lions, will be more than enough to fill the day, if not the weekend!
Visitors can walk through the tunnels and have a nearly 360-degree view of fish swimming on the sides and overhead.
We were surrounded by small shops and boutiques displaying everything from jade statues, to pearl jewelry, to silk dresses, to herbal medicines.
We spent some more time after that, taking in the natural beauty of the streets, architecture, and the bay.
We had family visiting us over the weekend and decided to go and see the iconic Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. Even though we have seen it before, I saw it for the first time through their eyes. The views really are stunning!
Before going to Ghirardelli Square in San Francisco, I salivated over what I might find there. If you watch The Simpsons, you’ll remember that episode when Homer daydreams about the Land of Chocolate. Something like that was dancing through my head leading up to our visit.
