I’ve always been interested in foreign languages. I even asked for a five language translator for my birthday (I was turning 12).
So imagine my delight when I started using Duolingo for online language learning.
The best part? It’s FREE!
Many languages are available to study, including French, Spanish, Italian, Swedish, Polish, and Turkish. There are also English courses one can study through their native language (for instance, through Hindi or Japanese).
Duolingo has a really cute interface which is easy to navigate. You can customize your lessons according to how much time you are willing to invest each day. There are even placement tests if you have some basic knowledge of a particular language already.
I took this opportunity to brush up on my rusty high school Spanish and college French, and I’m now officially hooked!
Check it out to totally immerse yourself in something new or to be prepared for your next trip overseas!
Disclaimer: I was NOT compensated for this post. I found this awesome product/service which I simply wanted to share with all of you.
We love Duolingo! It’s an easy way to stay motivated in your language journey. There is also a kids version of the app!
Oh really? I’ll look for the link-thanks!
I appreciate the information about the duolingo free language learning opportunity! I will definitely check it out!
Sounds great! Enjoy!
It is definitely a cute app. I like the notifications and the daily score streaks! It keeps me motivated. My blog is all about my language learning journey, I’m studying Chinese! 🙏🏻 Good luck with your studies.
I like that your blog posts are so detailed. Good luck with your language studies!
Will have to check this out – is there an app, or do you have to be on a computer?
I’ve been using it on the computer, since it’s easier for me to type out the sentences. But there is a Duolingo app on the app store on iOS.
Great post 😁
Thanks! I really like this using the site.
Rosetta Stone is good too, but you have to pay for it. This seems to be a good alternative
And the interface is user-friendly too 🙂
