Dubai is the largest city in the UAE; this global city’s revenue is driven mostly by oil products and tourism. What sets this city apart is that Dubai’s constantly trying to advance the city architecture via cutting-edge, awe-inspiring building projects.
You’ll find some of the world’s tallest and most spectacular skyscrapers in Dubai, apart from incredible hotels, resorts and theme parks, each vying with the other for architectural superiority. Here are 10 top attractions in Dubai that you simply must see and admire.
DUBAI MIRACLE GARDEN

The Dubai Miracle Garden is one of the city’s most admired tourist attractions. It’s the largest flower garden in the world with more than 109 million flowers, a spectacular visual treat. You can spend the entire day walking about, sniffing various flowers and admiring the wonderfully fragrant scent everywhere. The best part is that artists bend the flower plants into fantastical shapes; sometimes you’ll find a plant that’s been trimmed to appear like the Burj Khalifa. Cartoon characters and landmark icons are favorite topics.
DUBAI FRAME / PIXABAY
This huge picture frame is all of 152 meters tall. The frame has two columns which are connected at the top by a glass fronted bridge that offers scintillating views of Dubai on both sides. You can see the Dubai’s crowning achievement, the Burj Khalifa from one side and gaze upon Dubai’s past as represented by Deira from the other. That’s the whole point of the Dubai Frame – to be able to take in both the past and present of Dubai from a single viewpoint. The Dubai Frame is located at Zabeel Park, in a prominent location.
BURJ KHALIFA / FLICKR
The simply stupendously magnificent Burj Khalifa is to be seen to be believed. Standing at a height of 829 meters, the Khalifa rules over the UAE like a proud Sheikh. All other rulers have to bend to it. There are two observatory decks – one on the 124th floor and the other on the 148th floor. If you want a 360 degree view of the surrounding environs, opt for the 124th level’s At The Top experience. Several telescopes are set on all sides of the deck for viewer convenience. On the 148th deck, you can enjoy a 180 degree view of the surrounding panorama, as only part of the deck is glass covered. The Burj Khalifa is beyond words, so please go see it in person.

An incredible, spectacular sight, it’s not something you’ll forget once you’ve experienced it. The world’s largest choreographed fountain system uses 6,600 lights for illumination and is coloured by 25 projectors. The entire fountain is 75 m (246 ft.) long. The choreography is done as per a range of contemporary and classic world and Arabic music.
DUBAI DESERT / NEHA SINGH
There’s nothing more exciting than signing up for an adventuresome and yet romantic morning safari in the Dubai desert. There are several other safaris too – afternoon safari, evening safari, overnight safari and nocturnal safari. The morning safari is special because it includes watching the fabulous, spectacular sight of the sun rising over the dunes. If you’re a lover of sunrises and sunsets, you simply cannot miss a desert sunrise. It’s something else already. After you’ve gotten over the sunrise, you can go dune bashing, quad biking, sand boarding, camel riding or just climb up and down on the dunes as you like. It’s win-win all the way, no matter what you choose to do in the desert.
DUBAI MUSEUM OF THE FUTURE
The Museum of the Future is just that – it’s a museum that brings the projected future of our world to life, so that you get an idea of what you can possibly expect to happen within the next 50 years. The innovative architecture of the building has won much international acclaim. The skin has verses from the Koran superimposed over it. The museum looks like an oblong doughnut that’s shiny, silvery and beautiful. Inside are several immersive experiences, futuristic experiments, advanced robotics, artificial intelligence samples, driverless-vehicles and much more. The Museum of the Future is one of the absolutely must see attractions in Dubai, due to open in 2019.

The lobby is a delight and a half, with its gold accents and beautiful architecture. Unless you’re a guest, you’ll not be allowed beyond the lobby.
